Anton Slabbert CA (SA)
Anton qualified as a CA (SA) in 2008. He has over 17 years work experience of which 16 has been spent consulting to the public sector in financial management, financial accounting & lecturing in all related disciplines while at Ducharme (Consulting & DTI) & the Auditor General SA (AGSA). Anton is a senior manager of and shareholder in Ducharme Consulting. Prior to his consulting & training career he worked at the AGSA in the position of Assistant Manager where his focus was extensively local government auditing of individual & group structured municipalities. He has wide-ranging experience of audit turnarounds, AFS compilation, financial planning & budgeting, HEQF/ NQF Levels 7 & 8 financial accounting training & MMC/ unaccredited training. Some of his clients included Mbizana Municipality, Umdoni Municipality, George Municipality, KwaDukuza Municipality, Stellenbosch, Municipality, Sol Plaatje Municipality, Ramotshere Moiloa Municipality, NMBMM, ERWAT, CENTLEC, NT, SAICA, SAIGA, CIGFARO, KZNPT, GPT, NCPT, IABFM, Stellenbosch University SPL & USB, Pretoria University Enterprises, City of Windhoek & Walvisbay Municipality.
Anton has been involved with mSCOA theory and practice since 2016. He attended all of CIGFARO/ NT’s training sessions on mSCOA in order to successfully become a preferred trainer in mSCOA, which Anton has been since end of 2016. He has assisted with the development of several mSCOA implementation manuals of Ducharme for use by both municipal officials as well as mSCOA trainers to assist with mSCOA compliance. He has recorded certain online/ web-based mSCOA training videos and audio presentations for Ducharme (see Ducharme Website) & presented several in-house mSCOA workshops for consultants. He has also presented mSCOA training to ERWAT, Mbizana Local Municipality, CENTLEC, SAIGA RGA Trainees, NCPT (municipalities within the NC, training coordinated by NCPT) and to municipal officials attending training of the University of Pretoria Enterprises GRAP courses.
