Munsoft
While doing my articles at an auditing firm post the completion of my BComm degree I opted for a career in Information Technology, that was when my path crossed with the municipal environment in 2002. I was part of the team that did the first conversion to Munsoft at a district in Mpumalanga, and from there the scope grew to cover the rest of South Africa provinces. In 2015 I became primarily involved with mSCOA, attending the ICT forums on a regular basis and was largely involved with the three mSCOA Munsoft pilots namely Elias Motsoaledi, Nkangala District and Setsoto Local Municipality. I got to know the chart extensively being part of the piloting process which also comprised of training the municipalities, that time still on chart 5.4. I gained a lot of experience on the chart as it progressed through the different versions, attending National Treasury Reporting Forums on a regular basis and facilitated a couple of mSCOA workshops as well as presenting at an IMFO Conference. Currently I am part of our company’s development team, ensuring all new mSCOA developments are implemented for instance migrating the chart from one version to the next.
